« on: February 26, 2015, 08:57:47 PM »
I have just finished adding my world banknote collection in Exact Change. Unfortunately, I have run into quite a few newer banknotes that aren't present in the database. The specific notes I have that aren't present are:

5 Taka, 2012 (same as 2011 Mujibar Rahman)

Bhutan
1 Ngultrum, 2013 (same as 2006, "Governor" in English, different signature)

Burundi
100 Francs, 01-09-2011 (same as 1993-2007, different Vice Governor signature)

Congo
50 Francs, 31.07.2007 (same as 2000, BCC seal not embossed, new security strip)

Egypt
50 Piastres, 2008 (same as 1995-2003, different text on obverse (signature?)

Eritrea (entire country is missing)
  1 Nakfa, 24.5.1997

Guinea
100 Francs, 2012 (similar to 1985-1998, crest changed, style of year changed)

Guyana
20 Dollars, 2007? (same as 1966-1992, different signatures)

India
5 Rupees, 2009 (same as Gandhi 2002, "2009" below reverse image, foil security strip)

Indonesia
1000 Rupiah, 2013 (same as 2000-2007, different signatures)

Moldova
1 Leu, 2010 (same as 1994-2007, different governor signature)

Mongolia
  1 Tugrik, 2008 (same as 1993 Mongol Bank, "2008" lower-left reverse)
  5 Tugrik, 2008 (same as 1993 Mongol Bank, "2008" lower-left reverse)

Nepal
10 Rupees, 2012 (similar to Mountain design, but reverse text is different)

Serbia
10 Dinara, 2013 (same as 2006, different governor signature)

Ukraine
1 Hryvnia, 2011 (same as 2006, different signature)

Hi,

As with coin images, we really have to rely on people from around the world to send images of new currency types as they come cross them.  Itís really not possible for us to get a hold of all the new currency types from every country every year.  For some countries thatís easy; Australian users seem to be very quick to send images of new stuff coming out.  For other countries it can take quite a while to find out what designs were produced in the current year.

If itís just a new year for an older design or even if itís a whole new design, you can add it to the Exact Change database yourself but we encourage people to send us images and any info (as youíve done here)about new dates and designs so that we can share that with everyone.

On a side note, we actually added  Eritrea along with Lesotho and a few of the last remaining countries to Exact Change so you should see them posted shortly.

I've emailed in 1200dpi scans of most of the missing banknotes on my list. I'll try to get the rest done soon.
