World coin collecting / Re: Spanish coin dates
« on: February 10, 2014, 04:36:44 PM »
Thanks a lot, some of these coins are so worn and old that it may very well be impossible to date them. Any idea why they did this, it seems rather unusual.

I think it's a good idea, I'd love to have my collection portable, especially for those times I get one or two new coins and don't want to open the software just to add them. I can't imagine how big a good sized file would be though, it might be the only thing on my tablet lol

World coin collecting / Spanish coin dates
« on: February 03, 2014, 01:54:33 PM »
I noticed in the file for Spanish coins that most seem to use one date to represent several dates, ie, the 50 centavos piece is dated 1949 but has six dates in parenthesis. Does anyone have any clue how to differentiate between the different dates when they all have the same year on them?

Update: Removed all of the countries in my save file that I didn't have coins for, some 3,000 sections, but it still not responds when trying to open the save file :/

My collection file includes all coins, but only three or so countries using paper money. How can I email you a copy of my data file?

I have no idea why, but for some reason my edition of Exact Change has been not responding every time I try to open my collection file once I start the program. It just not responds until it asks if I want to close the software, have been doing this for ten minutes now (trying to open the file, having it not respond, being forced to close it, then trying again) with no luck. Any advice on what I can do?

World coin collecting / Mexican 20 Centavos coin "Copia"
« on: December 31, 2013, 07:14:24 PM »
Just received a haul of coins, including what appears to be a 20 Centavo coin from Mexico's 1943-1974 era. But something is off, it doesn't have a date and instead of the word "centavo" (as it shows in its picture on the software), it just says "COPIA". Is this coin indeed just a copy, since I can't find any coins with a similar copia marking?

Technical support / Coins more recent than the database

I've noticed a few of my coins are younger than the dates of the brackets they'd normally fit in. For instance, I have a East Caribbean 10 cent coin from 2004, which looks exactly like the Rank-Broadley that is dated as being minted only in 2002. These are the other instances I have:

German Euro Penny - 2010 (F)
Argentine 10 Centavos  - 2007
Malawi 2 Tambala - 1995
Latvian 1 Santims - 2008
British 1 Penny - 2010
British 5 Pence - 2008
Trinidadian 5 Cents - 2012
Chinese 5 Jiao - 2008

Would I have to make new series for these coins despite the fact that they are exactly similar as their predecessors, or is there a way to change the dates in the preset series?
